Ranma's Heavenly Bliss

It has been a while since I have drawn anything...Anyways, here's my FATHER'S DAY drawing featuring my favorite couple: Ranma and Akane.

This was inspired from PhantomGurl's beautiful sketch "True Love Finally".

I know it's a bit corny and too sappy but I thought this would be wonderful for this occasion. This took me 2 days to sketch and I'm happy to do it. Once again, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY ^_^

Ranma holds Akane in his arms as she sleeps, thinking about their future. He gently places his hand on Akane's belly, knowing that in 3 months, their first child will be born. He felt a slight movement in her womb and that brought a smile on his face.

Akane, ever since you told me we were going to have a baby, I was ecstatic...
But I've gotta admit, I was also afraid.
Hell, I'm still afraid.
What do I know about being a father?
I'm afraid of screwing up our child's life
But I'm sure with your help, I think I'll be a better father than my *oyaji was.

Feels the baby's kick

Akane, I felt our baby kick!
Ah man, our baby...I wonder if it's gonna be a
boy or a girl.
I know we agreed to be surprised but I was curious...
But it doesn't matter, just as long as the baby's
healthy, alive and well.
I can't wait till he or she is here.

Akane, thank you for this wonderful gift.

Ranma kisses Akane's forehead.

I know I don't say this often, but I want you to know..
I love you.
I love you and our baby.
Always.
I promise to do whatever it takes to make you both
happy.
I will protect you both with all my being.

This is truly my heavenly bliss.

Translation: 1) Oyaji = pop/old man (addressing to one's father, non-formal)
2) Kami-sama = God.
